I am going to dedicate my first ever blog to my wonderful job and 4 ladies that came with it. For the past 4.5 years I have worked at a small school here in Kentucky and I love it. The faculty is amazing, my boss is literally the best boss anyone could ask for, the kids are great and there is a real sense of family here. Unfortunately, in December my role as professional student ended and there is the looming realization that I have to dive into full time employment so here we are. It's the 17th I leave my favorite job tomorrow. Yikes.
One of the reasons I love this job so much are the lifelong friendships I have made. Four women I consider some of my closest friends started here and ended here with me. I'll introduce them to you all now!
We'll start with Sam first because she was my first friend here! When I first met her she had just graduated (on time... something I know nothing about) and was living with her boyfriend... who became her fiance... who became her husband... and now... they have the most amazing little girl in the world. What makes this so amazing is I literally got to celebrate every step with her and couldn't imagine a better co- worker and friend to start out with! This was taken at Sam's wedding so clearly she's the bride in the picture!
Next I'll move on to Britney as she not so quickly became my second close friend at work. Orginally I thought she was kind of a B and she did not care for my first day of work clothing choice (I didn't know the dress code and we still argue about the lenght of my shorts). After a broken foot (hers) and me offering to have my mother knit her a boot sock we became close friends. She was one of my bridesmaids and we still have annual trips to Kings Island. With her love of WWE, beige, peach and navy we are complete opposites but we have managed to stay close for years and I know she's not going anywhere anytime soon. (Not in your personal life Brat... we all know you're going places and doing big things!)
This babe is Erin Lynn, she and I are still working together and ending our time at the school together as well. (Along with my next girl you'll meet in a minute.) Erin is one of the most amazing friends a girl could have just don't piss her off. She is always the one with the camera (iPhone) out and ready to capture memories, Classic Erin. She's been a rock through the rough times I've had and she is always listening to me complain about something. We started at the school and are ending at the same time which is pretty awesome and scary as we're both taking big jumps into adulthood together. My most favorite moment ELG and I have ever had together was when I told her I was engaged over facetime and she jumped around and cried. It's only once in a lifetime someone can find a person that is truly happy for them and their success and I'm thankful I found that in my friend :).
So there you have it.. I just completed my first post and it's about my job.. well the 4 people that I was fortunate to find here. As my Thursday winds down and I'm realizing quickly tomorrow is my last day, I can't help but smile because you 4 have helped create some of the funniest memories I've had in a long time. I'm so fortunate to have you all in my life and Bri and Erin I will miss seeing you every day as I've missed Sam and Brit too. Love you all so much!
Thanks for reading, I can't promise I will be full of interest and drama... unless I talk about my Bravo tv (which I will...) but thank you for starting this journey with me!
